Stephanie Nguku is the Founder and Managing Partner of Upscale Consulting having obtained gainful experience from the financial sector of over 12years. She plays a central role in managing and developing meaningful business relationships, underwriting credit transactions, and working closely with partners and clients to structure and deploy commercial financing solutions for aspiring and established businesses as well as creating customized financial plans.

Prior to founding Upscale Consulting, Stephanie worked in the commercial banking and finance sectors as a Credit Specialist, helping businesses acquire the necessary capital they need to grow; with her key roles centred in Credit Evaluation, Risk and Credit Management. She has professional experience in providing asset- based working capital and structured term debt financial solutions for middle market companies, among other diversified financial solutions.

She has helped businesses in different sectors obtain funds where she was responsible for evaluating financial performance, credit detail and industry markets. She’s also working for clients in helping them create personalized personal and business financial/business plans.

In the Business Ecosystem, Stephanie is a Certified Trainer with the SIYB (Start and Improve Your Business) Entrepreneurship Programme designed to Generate Your Business Idea(GYBI); Start Your Business(SYB) and Improve Your Business(IYB) championed by ILO (International Labour Organization). She is a Mentor with the Make-IT Mentor Driven Capital by VC4Africa; and Imarisha Mentoring Programs run by Mowgli Mentoring (UK based).

She works with several Accelerator Programmes such as, Techstars Startup Accelerator, Cytonn e-hub and WYLDE International as a trainer and Coach with their cohorts; on matters Access to capital and Investor Readiness, a space she has been vouched to be well versed with by her partners.

Stephanie is a Judge with the HULT PRIZE Programme, a global UK based initiative championing social enterprises at the university level for vast acceleration at the Hult Castle in the UK. She’s often gets engaged as a speaker and participates as a panelist in several related events.

She sits in several boards for businesses in different sectors supporting the business and financial advisory functions.

 Stephanie is a finance professional having obtained a Bachelors in Commerce from Africa Nazarene University in Banking and Finance and a CPA holder from Strathmore University. A Certified Trainer with the SIYB (Start and Improve Your Business) Entrepreneurship Programme by ILO, a graduate of the PassionBiz Academy having gone through the Harness Your Brilliance Program aimed at harnessing one’s business acumen and undergone a Public Speaking Class with Shape Afrika Ltd.

She is a member of the KNCCI – Nairobi Chamber, and serves as a board member for the Youth Committee.
